DAR ES SALAAM, July 27 -- TANZANIA has officially launched direct Air Tanzania flights between Dar es Salaam and Muscat, positioning Oman as a strategic tourism market as the country moves to expand international connectivity, attract more visitors and strengthen trade and investment ties.

Speaking during the Tanzania-Oman Tourism Forum on July 26, 2026,Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Hamad Hassan Chande, said the new air link reflects the governments commitment to opening up Tanzania to global markets through improved air transport connections.

He said the initiative is aligned with President Samia Suluhu Hassans vision of increasing Tanzanias presence in international tourism and investment markets.
