ZANZIBAR, Nov. 8 -- ZANZIBAR lawmakers from ACT-Wazalendo have been urged to prioritise the islands interests over party politics to support its development and build on the progress initiated by President Hussein Mwinyi.
Speaking to journalists in Zanzibar, the Secretary of the CCM National Executive Committee (NEC) for Ideology, Publicity, and Training in Zanzibar, Mr Khamis Mbeto Khamis, said the election is now over, and ACT-Wazalendo has won 10 out of 50 constituencies in Zanzibar, along with four Special Seats in Parliament.
He therefore urged them to be good representatives of the people who elected them, for the betterment of Zanzibars future.
