DAR ES SALAAM, March 13 -- ABSA Bank Tanzania in partnership with Microsoft and Women in Tech, has launched the ElevateHer AI Programme to train and certify 5,000 young Tanzanian women in artificial intelligence, advancing gender inclusion in the tech sector.

The programme forms part of a broader continental initiative designed to train 50,000 women across Africa with practical AI capabilities to participate in the growing digital economy.

Absa Bank Tanzania Chief Operations Officer, Mr Oscar Mwamfwagasi said the programme reflects the banks commitment to ensuring young women are equipped with the digital skills needed for the future.
