KOROGWE, Aug. 24 -- 30 community groups in the Korogwe district in the Tanga region involved in road maintenance have been given orientation training for minor road maintenance, where the measure has been cited as a solution to reduce costs for the government and increase the durability of roads in the country.
Engineer Ephrahim Kalunde from the RISE-TARURA project, speaking to the groups, explained that the training is provided through the Rural Road Improvement and Opening of Socio-Economic Opportunities (RISE) project, which, among other things, encourages citizens to participate in minor road maintenance when damage occurs.
