DODOMA, Jan. 13 -- THE Minister of State in the Prime Ministers Office for Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), Prof. Riziki Shemdoe, has expressed satisfaction with the preparations to receive pre-primary and Grade One pupils at Iyumbu Primary School in Dodoma City, announcing that preparations in all 18,055 primary schools across the country have been completed and that schools are ready to receive pupils starting January 13, 2026.

Prof. Shemdoe said he visited Iyumbu Primary School on January 12, 2026, to personally assess the readiness for receiving pupils who are expected to begin pre-primary and Grade One classes on January 13, 2026, and confirmed that all preparations have been finalized.
