ZANZIBAR, Jan. 13 -- CLAD in full combat gear and marching in tight formation, defence and security units led by the Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces (TPDF) turned the streets of Zanzibar into a vivid display of discipline, unity and resolve yesterday, as the Isles marked the climax of the 62nd anniversary of the Zanzibar Revolution.

The eight-kilometre march, from Mtoni area to Mnazi Mmoja grounds served both as a physical fitness exercise and a powerful symbol of the countrys enduring commitment to peace and stability.
