DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 22 -- GOVERNMENT Chief Medical Officer, Dr Grace Maghembe, has called on senior doctors at referral hospitals to consider prior communication before referring a patient to a regional hospital to provide immediate assistance to the patient.
She said this while opening a regional working session on improving medical services at Benjamin Mkapa Regional Hospital with regional senior doctors and senior doctors at regional referral hospitals, which was accompanied by a visit to review the status of service delivery.
She said the move will enable the patient to be assisted before the time of transportation and will also reduce the costs that patients have to spend on travel and treatment, ultimately helping to save the live...
