Srilanka, July 16 -- A delegation of 24 emerging Sri Lankan politicians, representing 14 political parties, met with Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri as part of a two-week exchange program in India, according to Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the impact of the Indo-Pakistan crisis and the potential for India to take a leadership role in fostering a new era of regional cooperation in South Asia.

The young leaders expressed their appreciation for India's foreign policy and its growing regional influence.
