Sri Lanka, Aug. 13 -- Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, left the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) after providing a statement for nearly two hours yesterday (12) following the completion of his statement.

He arrived at the CID Headquarters, Colombo in the morning yesterday having been summoned by the CID to provide a statement regarding an ongoing investigation.

It has been reported that Yoshitha Rajapaksa had arrived at the CID premises to provide a statement regarding an ongoing investigation over a customised vehicle he had used that has been imported into the country without paying required Customs duties and with fake registration.
