Sri Lanka, April 6 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has taken steps to reduce the decision to suspend water supply for a period of 24 hours to 12 hours, considering consumer demands.
The NWSDB also stated that although the water supply period has changed, there will be no change in the previously planned dates and areas.
Accordingly, water supply to Homagama and its surrounding areas is scheduled to be suspended for 12 hours from 8.00 pm today (6). At the same time, water is scheduled to be suspended tomorrow (7) in Palanwatte, on April 8 in Pannipitiya, on April 9 in Padukka and again on the April 10 in the surrounding areas of Padukka.
