Sri Lanka, Aug. 5 -- Rumesh Tharanga, who created history to win the Gold medal in the javelin throw event at the 26th Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, Scotland and Palitha Bandara, who won his second silver medal in the discus throw event in the Para category arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday. Rumesh Tharanga won the gold medal after 20 years and he is the first Sri Lankan Javelin throw gold medalist in a Commonwealth Games. A special reception ceremony was held at the Katunayake Airport where Sports Deputy Minister Sugath Thilakaratne welcomed them in the presence of their family members and officials
