Sri Lanka, June 5 -- Four warehouses belonging to a leading food importer were sealed by Consumer Affairs Authority officers after a surprise raid on Wednesday 3 uncovered numerous consumer protection law violations.

Investigations revealed these warehouses, located on Pagoda Road, Nugegoda, had been supplying food products in bulk to leading hotels and markets across the island. The products included dairy items such as cheese and butter, chocolate and cocoa powder, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta and meat products, and various raw materials used in bakery production.
