Sri Lanka, Aug. 26 -- Former Minister Harin Fernando appeared at the Badulla Magistrate's Court today (26) in connection with a case regarding an alleged violation of election laws during the last general election.

Badulla Magistrate Nujith de Silva ordered the case to be adjourned until 6 January 2026.

The case relates to an incident on 11 November 2024, when Fernando and a group of his supporters reportedly clashed with police while campaigning in Badulla town. The group was wearing t-shirts displaying 'number 10', which was Fernando's preference number in the 2024 General Election.
