Sri Lanka, Sept. 22 -- Vigilant lifesavers of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard rescued a seven-year-old child from drowning in the sea off Pasikuda, Trincomalee, on September 17.
The incident occurred while several people were bathing in the sea, and the lifeguards observed a child in distress. Acting promptly, the sailors rescued the child, who has been identified as a resident of Kandy. Basic first aid was administered when the child was brought ashore and subsequently he was handed over to his family.
