Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- Court of Appeal President Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya yesterday nominated a three-judge bench to hear several writ petitions challenging the decision of prison authorities to remove the robes of Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera.

When the petitions were called before the Court of Appeal President, Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice Priyantha Fernando, Justice Abeysuriya declined to sit on the bench hearing the matters and nominated Justices Amal Ranaraja, Mahen Gopallawa and Priyantha Fernando to hear the petitions.
