Sri Lanka, Feb. 27 -- An allocation of Rs. 950 million has been approved for development projects in the Vavuniya District for 2026 at a meeting of the District Development Committee held yesterday (26) at the Vavuniya District Secretariat.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Cooperative Development Upali Samarasinghe, who also serves as Chairman of the Vavuniya, Mannar and Mullaitivu District Development Committees. The primary focus of the session was to present and approve the district's development plans for the coming year.
