Sri Lanka, June 9 -- Former Member of Parliament Udaya Gammanpila was summoned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning (June 9) to provide a statement in connection with the ongoing investigation into the controversial 323-container incident.

Authorities are continuing inquiries into the matter, which has drawn significant public and political attention in recent weeks.
