Sri Lanka, Aug. 12 -- Three vehicles collided on the Matara-Colombo section of the Southern Expressway yesterday (11) morning causing injuries due to the severity of the accident.
Police stated that the three vehicles travelling on the lane heading from Matara towards Colombo collided near the 115th kilometer post between Kokmaduwa and Imaduwa sections.
The crash involved two cars and a Colombo bound Matara - Colombo route passenger bus resulting in one car overturning with two people sustaining injuries.
The two injured persons inside the vehicles were rushed to hospital for treatment. The accident caused temporary disruption of traffic along the expressway as a result.
