Sri Lanka, July 13 -- Two young men travelling on a motorcycle were killed in an accident that occurred on Friday (10) night near the Batalanda Junction on the Colombo-Kandy main road, according to Nittambuwa Police.
The two deceased youths were residents of the Radawadunna area.
Preliminary Police investigations revealed that the motorcycle attempted to overtake a private passenger bus travelling from Colombo toward Anuradhapura. During the attempt, the motorcycle initially collided with the bus, lost control and subsequently crashed into an oncoming lorry, ending up trapped underneath it.
Police suspect this accident occurred due to the motorcycle colliding with both the bus and the lorry simultaneously in this manner.
