Two Chief Prelates urge President to secure release of Sivarasa Anojan

Sri Lanka, Oct. 5 -- Chief Prelates of the Sri Lanka Ramagnna Maha Nikaya and Amarapura Maha Nikaya have submitted a letter to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake requesting the necessary State intervention to secure the release of Sivarasa Anojan, who is facing the death penalty in Saudi Arabia.

Accordingly, the relevant letter signed by the Most Ven.Aggamaha Panditha Makulewe Wimala Thera, the Mahanayake of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya, and the Mahanayake of the Amarapura Maha Nikaya, Ven.Karagoda Uyangoda Maithrimurthi Thera has been handed over to the Senior Additional Secretary to the President, Roshan Gamage by the Ven. Dr. Omalpe Sobitha Thera.
