Sri Lanka, Aug. 11 -- Sri Lanka's rugby fraternity is mourning the loss of two outstanding former schoolboy captains - Jayantha Jayewardene of Trinity College and Keith Paul of Royal College - who both led their teams in the historic Bradby Shield and later made their mark in club rugby.

Jayewardene, a lock forward, represented Trinity from 1959 to 1961, captaining in his final year and earning the prestigious Trinity Lion. After joining the plantation industry, he played with distinction for Dimbula Athletic and Cricket Club while serving as a tea planter in the hill country.
