Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- A collision between an SLTB bus and a private bus in Pallemalala, Hambantota, left approximately 20 passengers, including several foreign tourists, hospitalized yesterday afternoon (18).
The accident occurred when a private bus traveling from Tissamaharama to Matara struck the rear of an SLTB bus plying the Galle-Dehiattakandiya route.
The impact caused the SLTB driver to lose control, resulting in the vehicle veering off the road, crashing through a wall, and smashing into a small business premises nearby.
According to Hambantota Police, the Galle-bound SLTB bus was carrying 57 passengers at the time of the incident.
