Sri Lanka, June 22 -- The Finance Ministry has decided to systematically allocate 25 ministerial bungalows with special facilities, which are currently closed down and left unused in Colombo, for various investment and office projects.

Reports indicate that due to being closed for a long period, these valuable properties are becoming dilapidated, and there is a risk of them undergoing major destruction if they continue to remain in this State. A special steering committee is expected to be appointed to implement this project, and the relevant Cabinet approval has also been requested at present.

According to Finance Ministry sources these bungalows will be utilised in an economically productive manner.
