Sri Lanka, July 16 -- The confidence, satisfaction and trust of majority of the public in the present government led by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the efficiency of the country's governance remains high with public satisfaction with the President standing at 75.5%, according to the latest Confidence in Democratic Governance Index released by the Centre for Policy Alternatives (CPA) Social indicator.

Despite the rising cost of living and personal financial difficulties that remain as main challenges facing the people of Sri Lanka as stated, it is noteworthy that the public trust in President Anura Kumara Dissanayake remains high at 75.5% in comparison to the low public satisfaction at 29.4% with Opposition Leader Sajith Premad...
