Sri Lanka, Oct. 17 -- Trinity College have been crowned Overall Champions at the Sri Lanka Weightlifting Federation Novices Championship 2025, held at Vijaya National School, Matale, after producing a commanding all-round performance across Youth, Junior and Senior categories to collect 28 points, reaffirming their place among the country's top weightlifting schools.
Trinity's success was powered by a string of medal-winning performances led by Jayaram Haakesh, who won Gold in the Junior 65kg category and was adjudged Best Lifter in the Junior Division for his outstanding strength, technique and consistency.
