Sri Lanka, July 23 -- The sea phase of the Trincomalee Naval Exercise 2026 (TRINEX-26) commenced off the coast of Trincomalee on Tuesday (21), with the participation of the Sri Lanka Navy's Naval Fleet, Fourth Fast Attack Flotilla, Special Boat Squadron, Marines and the Sri Lanka Air Force.
On the opening day of the exercise, participating units carried out a series of operational drills, including Miscellaneous Exercises (MISCEX), Surface Firing Exercises (SURFEX), Screening Exercise (SCREENEX), Gunnery Exercises (GUNEX) and Vertical Replenishment (VERTREP).
