Sri Lanka, Sept. 25 -- The Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation, Mr. Bimal Ratnayake, along with Deputy Minister Mr. Janitha Ruwan Kodituwakku, conducted a special inspection tour of JCT Oil Bank on Wednesday (24).
The JCT Oil Bank complex currently has 38,200 MT of storage capacity across 14 oil tanks, with oil transported to Colombo Port via pipeline. Currently, 11 warehouses, including CPC, are registered with JCT Oil Bank.
With a monthly demand of approximately 60,000 MT, the facility has been facing challenges in meeting storage requirements. During the visit, officials presented plans for the construction of several new tanks to overcome these challenges.
