Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- The grand Kalaeli Mangallaya for the enrobing of the traditional Ves headgear and headdresses of 10 novice students studying dance under Chief Directress of Mampe Rithma Ranga Kalaayathanaya in Piliyandala and recipient of the Tharunu Kalakaru Vishwa Pranama Abhiman award A.A. Nayana Nishanthi, alongside the Low Country dance initiation ceremony for 11 senior students, was held recently at the Polgasowita Sri Sudharshanarama Purana Viharaya.South Asians & Diaspora

The ceremony was conducted under the patronage of invited guests, including University Lecturers. A photograph captured after the enrobing of the traditional headgear and Ves headpieces of the novice students is shown below.
