Sri Lanka, Oct. 18 -- Deputy Commissioner General of the Inland Revenue Department, Lal Ratnayake, has announced all business owners that their Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) must be clearly displayed at their business premises.
He further stated that income reports for the 2024/2025 financial year should be submitted before November 30.
The department also urged business owners to ensure their business registration certificate or TIN number is visible at their place of business.
Ratnayake added that in some cases, although businesses possess a TIN number, their profiles have not been updated. To address such issues, a help desk at the Inland Revenue Head Office is available to assist in taking the necessary steps.
