Sri Lanka, April 3 -- The Department of Meteorology says atmospheric conditions across the island will be favourable for afternoon thundershowers.Atmospheric Science

In a weather advisory, the Department said showers or thundershowers are expected at several places in most parts of the country after 2.00 p.m.Fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm is likely at some locations in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, North Central and Eastern provinces.

Showers may also occur in the Eastern Province and in the Hambantota District during the morning hours.

Meanwhile, misty conditions can be expected in some areas of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and North Central provinces, as well as in the Kurunegala and Vavuniya districts during the ...
