Sri Lanka, April 21 -- Around 155,000 passengers used the services of the Makumbura Multimodal Transport Center (MTC) during the New Year season the Ministry of Transport said.

They used the MTC between April 8-19 when more than 2,600 buses were deployed to meet the demand.

The National Transport Commission (NTC), the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), and the Western Province Passenger Transport Authority collaborated to provide passengers with a smooth service.
