Sri Lanka, Oct. 5 -- The Post Harvest Technology Institute is preparing to construct ten modern ripening chambers this year to provide fruit producers with safe, chemical-free and high-quality ripening technology.

Post Harvest Technology Institute Chairman Prof.Rohitha Prasantha stated that these modern facilities will be provided to commercial enterprises alongside necessary technical training to transition toward advanced ripening methods.

The initiative comes in response to a growing need for a structured plan to ensure the availability of safe, chemical-free fruits in the local market.
