Sri Lanka, May 15 -- The Socialist Youth Union (SYU) has officially launched its countrywide youth initiative, the SYU Youth Summit, under the theme "Youth Energy to Build the Nation." As part of the programme, the first summit is scheduled to commence tomorrow (16) in the Meerigama Divisional Secretariat area of the Gampaha District, while the second event will take place on 17 May 2026 in Hambantota.

The announcement was made yesterday (14) during a press conference held at the JVP headquarters in Battaramulla.
