Sri Lanka, July 16 -- During a co-ordinated operation, the Navy along with the Police Special Task Force (STF), arrested a suspect and seized 5,575 bottles of illegally stored liquor in Puthukkudiyiruppu, Mullaitivu, on Tuesday (14).

The raid was launched by personnel from SLNS Gotabaya, in co-ordination with the Mullaitivu Police Special Task Force.

The suspect was identified as a 43-year-old resident of Mullaitivu. Both the suspect and the seized liquor were handed over to the Mullaitivu Excise Department for further legal proceedings.
