Sri Lanka, Aug. 20 -- Horana HQ Police stated that an individual wanted in connection with 12 outstanding warrants related to a court case involving forged land deeds was arrested on Monday (17).

The arrested individual is a 58-year-old resident of Padukka.

According to Police, the case has been ongoing since 2020 based on complaints lodged by buyers alleging that the suspect had forged deeds to sell 12 plots of land in the Moragahahena area. Warrants were issued recently after he evaded court appearances.

Under the direction of Horana ASP B. A. Ekanayake, investigations were conducted by a team led by Special Crimes Investigation Unit OIC Chief Inspector Dhammika Navaratne, which included PSs Sanjeewa, Jayantha, Asanka and Dilipa.
