Sri Lanka, May 19 -- This Government has created an environment where State officials can work without fear or favour and the rule of law and independence of the judiciary too have been assured, the National People's Power (NPP) Lawyers' Association said yesterday.

Attorney at Law Akalanka Ukwatta said the recent verdict delivered by the Chilaw High Court regarding the brother of a former Minister is a lesson to politicians or other powerful people who try to obstruct work of public service officials.
