Sri Lanka, June 29 -- Sri Lanka has been named the world's top trending wellness travel destination for 2026 after recording a 100 percent year-on-year increase in demand from wellness travellers, according to the State of Retreats 2026 Report released by BookRetreats.com.

The report, based on a survey of 1,040 travellers in the United States, ranked destinations according to year-on-year growth in wellness retreat bookings, with Sri Lanka leading the global list ahead of Australia, Morocco, England and Spain.
