Sri Lanka, Oct. 28 -- The first ever Endoscopic Eustachian Tube Surgery for hearing loss, in Sri Lanka, was performed at the Negombo District General Hospital on Tuesday (21).

The surgery was performed by "Vidhya Nidhi" Dr. Rizny Sakkaff, an ENT Consultant and Head and Neck Surgeon.

Three patients, aged 58, 47 and 11 underwent the surgery.

Medical expert Dr. Rizny Sakkaff told the Media, at the Negombo Hospital, I'm performing the new surgical procedure for the hearing loss or blockage of the ear for the first time, and I introduced it to Negombo Hospital in Sri Lanka. It is an Endoscopic Eustachian Tube Surgery due to the phlegm or any infection in the middle ear".
