Sri Lanka, Sept. 24 -- Sri Lanka reaffirmed its commitment to advancing global development cooperation at the High-Level Meeting of the Global Development Initiative (GDI), chaired by H.E. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath, who is accompanying President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to New York for the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), represented Sri Lanka at the meeting.
