Srilanka, Oct. 3 -- Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath participated in the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, from September 27 to 30.

Addressing the High Level Segment of the Assembly (General Debate) on September 28, the Foreign Minister reaffirmed Sri Lanka's steadfast commitment to multilateralism and to investing in a United Nations that "delivers for all".

Speaking under the theme "restoring trust, managing transformation," Minister Herath underscored the importance of addressing and resolving contemporary issues through dialogue and cooperation.
