The group includes sailors, cadet officers and other crew members who were brought ashore as part of a humanitarian operation conducted by Sri Lankan authorities.

According to officials, the vessel had requested permission on Wednesday to dock at a Sri Lankan port after one of its engines malfunctioned while sailing near the island. A total of 208 personnel were on board the vessel, and 204 of them were transferred to Colombo by the Navy during the operation.
