Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Pretoria convened a virtual meeting with all Honorary Consuls accredited to the Mission on August 25, 2025.

High Commissioner Air Chief Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa (Retd) extended his appreciation to the Honorary Consuls for their continued support to Sri Lankans within their jurisdictions. He briefed them on the Government's priorities regarding the African continent, highlighting its natural resources, economic potential, and growing importance in multilateral relations. The High Commissioner also outlined the Government's Thriving Nation - Beautiful Life policy, focusing on rural poverty alleviation, the digital economy, and the Clean Sri Lanka initiative.
