Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- Sri Lanka is set to strengthen its trade ties with Europe through a new cooperation agreement between the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) and Germany's Import Promotion Desk (IPD). The agreement, recently approved by the Cabinet, focuses on enhancing the global competitiveness of Sri Lankan exporters in high-growth sectors.

A key highlight of this partnership is the expansion into IT Outsourcing (ITO) and digital services, alongside Sri Lanka's traditional strengths in natural raw materials (such as organic spices and coconut products). The initiative specifically targets:
