Sri Lanka, May 4 -- A special traffic management plan has been implemented in Colombo in connection with the official visit of Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu, the Police Media Division announced.

The traffic plan is in effect from May 4 to May 6, 2026, with arrangements introduced to ensure security and smooth vehicular movement within Colombo city limits during the President's engagements.

Accordingly, temporary traffic restrictions and diversions will be enforced intermittently along routes used by the VIP convoy. Police warned that heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering affected roads two hours prior to each movement, while all other vehicle traffic will be restricted during convoy movements.
