Sri Lanka, Dec. 27 -- A special search operation at Boossa High Security Prison has uncovered several prohibited items, including mobile phones, from the cells in the A section of the Special Unit.
Police reported that during the operation conducted on December 24, authorities recovered two smartphones, two phone chargers, three data cables, two handsets, and several other items.
All recovered items have been handed over to the Prison Management Authority for further investigation.
The search was carried out jointly by officers from the Police Special Task Force Boossa and Galle Camps, with assistance from the Prison Emergency Response and Tactical Unit.
