Sri Lanka, June 24 -- Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said another special dengue prevention programme will commence today (24) and continue until Friday (26), as authorities seek to sustain recent gains in curbing the spread of the disease.

He said the positive impact of ongoing dengue control efforts are now beginning to show results, with the number of reported patients declining. However, he cautioned that the threat has not yet subsided and urged the public to remain vigilant and continue efforts to eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
