Sri Lanka, Oct. 23 -- South Africa Women registered their fifth consecutive win at the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025, defeating Pakistan Women by 150 runs (DLS method) in their rain-hit group-stage match played at the R. Premadasa Stadium on Tuesday.

With this victory, South Africa climbed to the top of the points table with 10 points (before the England-Australia match yesterday), while Pakistan became the second team to be eliminated from the semifinal race.

After being invited to bat first, South Africa piled up 312 for 9 in 40 overs. Laura Wolvaardt (90), Sune Luus (61), and Marizanne Kapp (68 not out) made valuable contributions to build a strong total.
