Sri Lanka, Sept. 23 -- The Sri Lanka Institute of Textile and Apparel (SLITA) hosted 'Felicitation 2025' to commemorate the institution's attainment of Degree Awarding Status yesterday.

The Institute's new rebranded name, SLITA Campus was unveiled by its chairman, Thilaka Jayasundara, Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development.

In accordance with the section 25A of the University Act No. 16 of 1978, the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education, SLITA, has been recognised as a degree awarding institute and it was granted the power and authority to award the degree of B.Sc in Textile and Apparel Studies by the Extraordinary Gazette Notification 2446/36, which was released on July 22, 20...
