Sri Lanka, Sept. 22 -- A special investigation unit consisting of police officers has been established at the head office of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) to investigate complaints received regarding foreign employment scams and provide prompt solutions to them.

The unit has 16 police officers, including a Chief Inspector (CI).

"This unit was established with the aim of preventing foreign employment fraud and providing relief to the expatriate community by providing prompt solutions to complaints," Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment Deputy Minister Arun Hemachandra said at the launch.
