Sri Lanka, Aug. 25 -- The launch of "Mapping of Services to Address Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) in Sri Lanka," whichTravel Guides & Travelogues

took place recently, makes it the first study of its kind to be conducted independently by the NGO sector in

the country, and the broadest survey of its nature to be undertaken to date.

Conducted jointly by VILUTHU and the Centre for Equality and Justice (CEJ), the research examines how victim survivors of SGBV experience the health, police, legal and social systems meant to protect them. It draws on the testimonies of 888 women and 109 service providers across eight districts in Sri Lanka.
